Summa Communications is a part of Enreach which provides the most stable and innovative communication platform for the commercial market. Through our own network (with the support of several interconnected data centers) we supply professional mobile, telephony and data services using progressive ICT techniques. As a result of our flexible and professional approach, we have gained a significant market position that we intend to further expand in the coming years through the indirect sales channel.
You will work in a dynamic organization where every day is a different story. In 2017 we chose to run our organization according to the management model of Holacracy. This model is characterized by that we do not work with traditional functions but in several roles. Departments are no longer there because we work in circles. And from your roles, you can be part of several of these circles. This way you will be able to use your talents in multiple places!

To reinforce our team in Málaga (Spain), we are currently recruiting:

TAC/Network Engineer!

As a member of our Technical Assistance Centre with the focus on Connectivity, your main priority will be to ensure our international partners can enable their customers to use their internet connectivity solutions and/or their VPN’s without a problem. You will do this by monitoring (core) equipment, responding to incidents reported from the various service desks and configuring routing, switching and firewall equipment.
The ideal candidate will be a competent individual with great passion for (network)technology. An analytical mindset will be essential for effective troubleshooting and improving the network’s functions.

Your tasks will include:

• Responding to alerts generated by the monitoring system. Preferably you fix the issue yourself otherwise you dispatch to the next level and keep track of the progress;
• Offering second/third level support to handle complex issues and requests;
• Analysing problems and change requests;
• Executing change- and delivery requests on firewalls, routers and switches;
• Maintaining an overview of all related processes and procedures and propose updates and/or changes when necessary;
• Participate in meetings with your colleagues located in various European offices.
To succeed in this job, the following is required:
• Proven experience as a network technician or relevant position;
• CCNA or higher level of knowledge regarding routing, switching and firewalling;
• Good knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols and network technologies;
• Hands-on experience with common software and hardware
• Experience with building and maintaining IPSec based VPN’s;
• Experience in managing an environment that consists of equipment from vendors such as Cisco, ZyXEL, Mikrotik, Draytek and SonicWall;
• Highly developed analytical skills;
• Being self-reliant, confident and independent;
• Fluency in English is a must;
• Willing to travel for multiple consecutive days to locations within Europe.
